Privacy Policy

FarmTally ("FarmTally", "we", "us"), operated by Arthink LLC, is a mobile app that helps small farmers in the United States and Canada track animals, crops, and farm finances. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, where it is stored, and the choices you have. By using FarmTally you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and a securely stored password credential.
  • Farm data you enter. Records you add to the app — animals, crops, fields, income, expenses, and related notes.
  • Purchase information. Subscription and trial status. Payments are processed by Google Play and our billing provider; we do not receive or store your full card details.
  • Usage and device data. Basic analytics and crash data such as app version, device model, operating system, and in-app events, used to keep the app working.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide the app and store, sync, and back up your farm records.
  • To create the reports and tax exports you request.
  • To manage your account, subscription, and free trial.
  • To diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve the app.
  • To contact you about your account or important service changes.

3. How your information is stored and shared

Your data is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore). We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate FarmTally, including:

  • Google Firebase / Google Cloud — authentication, database, and hosting.
  • Google Play — app distribution and subscription billing.
  • Analytics and crash-reporting providers used inside the app.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.

4. Where your data is stored (international transfer)

FarmTally runs on Google Firebase and Google Cloud infrastructure. Your data, including personal information, is stored and processed on servers located in the United States. If you are in Canada, this means your personal information is transferred to, stored, and processed outside Canada, where it may be subject to access by U.S. authorities under applicable law. By using FarmTally, you consent to this transfer.

5. Cookies on our website

Our website (farmtally.app) uses a minimal amount of cookies and local storage — for example, to remember that you accepted this notice and your language choice. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on the website.

6. Data security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and trusted cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account and associated data at any time directly in the app, under Settings → Delete account, or by emailing hello@farmtally.app. We will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records to meet legal obligations.

8. Your privacy rights

You can view and edit your farm records in the app, update your account details, delete your account, and cancel your subscription through Google Play. You may also ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to withdraw your consent — contact us at hello@farmtally.app.

If you are in Canada: we handle your personal information in accordance with the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws (such as Quebec's Law 25). You have the right to access and correct your personal information and to withdraw consent. If you have a privacy concern we cannot resolve, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).

If you are in the United States: depending on your state, you may have rights to access or delete your personal information (for example, under the California Consumer Privacy Act). Contact us to exercise them.

9. Children's privacy

FarmTally is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date above.
